How STRATA (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information from visitors and users of teamstrata.app and its subdomains.
Summary
- We collect only what we need to deliver the services you request (contact replies, account access, project workspaces, scheduled calls, SMS notifications you opt in to).
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, including phone numbers, with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
- Information shared with phone carriers and SMS aggregators is used solely to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of your information at any time.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact form: name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Newsletter / waitlist: email address (and name, when provided).
- Account (Clerk): email address, password (hashed by Clerk), and authentication metadata required to keep your account secure.
- Scheduled calls (Cal.com): name, email, and any details you provide when booking. Calls are scheduled through Cal.com, our scheduling provider.
- SMS opt-in (when offered): mobile phone number, the program you opted in to, the time and method of opt-in, and a record of your consent. Phone numbers are collected only when you actively check an opt-in box or text a keyword to opt in.
Information collected automatically
- Product analytics (PostHog): anonymized event data — page views, button clicks, form submissions — used to understand how the site is used and to fix bugs. We do not use this data to track you across other websites.
- Server and security logs: IP address, user agent, timestamps, and request paths, retained briefly for abuse prevention and operational security.
How We Use Your Information
We use information for the following purposes only:
- To respond to your contact, concierge, and support requests.
- To authenticate you and provide access to your project workspaces.
- To send transactional messages (account confirmations, scheduling reminders, project updates) and — only when you have opted in — SMS notifications about your project, infrastructure incidents, or release activity.
- To improve product reliability and security through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
- To meet our legal and compliance obligations.
SMS / Text Message Privacy
When you opt in to receive SMS messages from STRATA, your mobile phone number, opt-in method, and message history are used only to deliver the messages described in our Terms and Conditions.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
Phone numbers may be shared only with our SMS service provider (currently Twilio) and the underlying telecommunications carriers solely for the purpose of transmitting the messages you have opted in to receive. These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can request help by replying HELP. Standard message and data rates may apply.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only in the following narrow situations:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf to deliver the service: Clerk (authentication), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (SMS delivery, only for opt-in users), Cal.com (call scheduling), PostHog (product analytics), and our cloud hosting provider. Each provider is contractually limited to processing information for the purpose of delivering the service to you.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
- Business transitions — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, which will be bound by this Privacy Policy or a successor with at least equivalent protections.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar storage:
- Strictly necessary: session cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in.
- Analytics: a first-party cookie set by PostHog to distinguish unique visitors. PostHog runs through a same-origin reverse proxy on our site to limit third-party cookie placement.
You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How Long We Keep Information
- Contact and form submissions: retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction, then deleted or anonymized.
- Account information: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of an account-deletion request, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
- SMS opt-in records: retained for as long as you remain opted in, plus a reasonable record of consent (typically 4 years) after opt-out, to comply with telecommunications regulations.
- Server logs: retained for up to 90 days.
Your Rights
You can exercise any of the following at any time:
- Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information.
- Opt-out of SMS: reply STOP to any message, or contact us.
- Unsubscribe from email: use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us directly.

Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, scoped access controls, and authentication via a SOC 2-compliant identity provider (Clerk). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we continually review and improve our controls.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the website or, where appropriate, by email to active users.
